Supporting better conversations about mental health and neurodiversity at work

Hi, I’m Lynn.

What I do

I help organisations equip managers to handle mental health and neurodiversity conversations with confidence and clear boundaries. Through practical training and consultancy, managers learn what to say (and what not to say!), when to act and how to support people early, consistently and lawfully

The Challenge

“People are opening up about mental health and neurodiversity… now what?!”

Since the pandemic, there’s been a shift to a sense of urgency, and unravelling, around the topics of our brains and not being okay. We opened up, and many organisations got stuck at: “As a manager, what’s my job - legally, ethically, pastorally?!’. In practice, the gap between awareness and appropriate action leads to issues being avoided because conversations feel awkward. Managers are unsure how to respond when someone discloses mental health difficulties or neurodivergent needs. Issues about confidentiality and overstepping boundaries feel overwhelming. So we do nothing.

The Solution

Organisations need to have better conversations, sooner. They need managers who: Know how to listen without trying to fix; Understand boundaries, safeguarding and escalation; Can act early, consistently and lawfully; and feel confident supporting people and themselves.

These are the outcomes people get by working with me.
