Accessible and affordable transport for all?

When I passed my driving test, I was delighted.

It took me ten years (on and off) and five instructors.

(btw I passed first time. I'm a fantastic driver and I have a great Now CD collection for passengers)

Today there is a new report released on the Accessible Transport Framework which highlights disabled people's experiences on transport.

Things that do not make me delighted:
- 59% of disabled people agreed they felt safe on the bus compared to 74% of non-disabled people.
- When asked why they did not use the bus more, disabled people were far more likely to quote ‘health reasons’ than non-disabled people were (27% compared to 2%).
- 64% of disabled people agreed with the statement that it was ‘easy to change from bus to other transport', compared with 76% of non-disabled people.

Change, please.
