Happy 30th Birthday, Impact Arts!

Impact Arts is an organisation that proves that creativity changes lives. Over the last 30 years, they have engaged more than 300, 000 people in their life-changing work. How awesome is that?!

To celebrate their 30th birthday, they threw an awesome party at The Broadwalk, a fantastic and flexible venue, complete with art therapy activities, silent disco, drag performances, short speeches, impact videos and fizzy wine. I had the privilege to attend and hear/see evidence of the positive impact that they have on communities through art therapy, criminal justice programmes, employability projects, and more.

It's been a while since I’ve worked full-time in the third sector. Returning to that world gives me the opportunity to appreciate the commitment and dedication of everyone in that ecosystem. In a world driven by more-ness, fast-ness and clicks, it is worthwhile to remember the amount of good that is being done to support others to reach their potential.

How can you help with this great vision?

Donations to Impact Art support them to continue their life-changing work. For example, £50 can provide a care experienced young person, vulnerable child, or older person with a resource pack. You also could book their creative & accessible events venue in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, which has a theatre and 7 studios and meetings rooms.

As Fiona Doring, CEO, says, ‘Impact Arts was born out of the recognition that taking part in arts and creative activities can be life changing.’ Let’s all have a slice of cake, and use the energy to keep changing lives.
